if those in control hurt you I will bring my attention / a silent gift

even if you cannot speak / you will find me listening

“Silence!” those in control ridicule / trying to convince us there is no hope

but I wll hold / watch  / listen

until I should recognise you anywhere / in any condition

I am practising this

I will not lie to us / I do not know how to keep you safe

or us all / keep us all / minding our ways / unmolested

But / justice and injustice / I know how to watch / to recognise  /
