dark north / light at bay
smell is cold fresh from night’s oven
snow-sound flicks
why
begins with dark and snow
answer
begins with yearning
ride its gyre open
reach hunting height
ingenious wide
wise love
south light becomes pale
one bird / no flock --
no hunter I think
but I am wrong
everything is hungry
my heart is not small enough to disappear
