wild water earth air and two fires
wild woman wilful in wild sun
warmth loves water
water loves chill
together
seeps deeper
takes tease
surrenders
boulders turn stiff necks
tough trees grow slow from rock seams
breeze leans leaves
toward what can be
all surround is curiosity
all surround is
increase and vegetable quantity
is mineral gravity
and undisturbed
silence astounds
turns attention
pristine spellbinds
human mind forgets wounded mindless earth
beholds what could have been
poor humans who often think but do not leap to be

Poor humans who often think but do not leap to be
YES. I am a wild man swimmer, who swims in the cold prairie and mountain lakes of wyoming, also al fresco. My mind is still, no words, no thinking, once I leap into that cold water and be. Amazing poem. Jo. Thanks!

Oh Jonas . I remember my first “skinny dip” with you so many years ago. . . I’ve got to get out more!
