tree / tree / first love of my inside thigh
I / belly to trunk / press close / scringe up /
heavy heart / drawn down / tries
/ tries to stretch / from thick to thin / try try
difficult tryst / to inch high / wish
to kiss your scar / your wrinkled satin skin
to lip your petal stars / to reach eternity when /
ever / I climb
grip / you /
tree
rooted arch / wind shiver / thud fall
shadow shape / lend me your peace /
where fears release like birds /and tears shed easily /
and leaves lap springing green
poem and photograph by Jo Mariner
Dear Jo, it was me who sold you the stained glass and it was only when I sold another piece this morning that I remembered I hadn’t sent you the information on Catrin Davies as promised. I will send it tonight when I get home.
Apologies for not sending it sooner.
Thank you for showing me your work too. I will read it with interest.
